Why Choose Clan Clean for Suits?

  • Pressed on a form, not flat. Shoulders and lapels are finished over a shaped press so the jacket holds its line on the hanger. Flat pressing is what creates that pancaked look across the chest.
  • Collar and cuffs treated by hand first. These hold body oils that a general clean will not lift.
  • Solvent matched to the cloth. Wool, wool blends, linen and synthetics each behave differently — one setting for all of them is how lapels end up shiny.
  • Pieces cleaned together. Jacket and trousers are processed as a set so they age at the same rate and do not drift apart in shade.
  • Returned covered, on a hanger. Ready to go straight into the wardrobe.

Care That Extends the Life of Your Suit

Dry clean less often than you think — two or three times a season is plenty for regular wear. Over-cleaning wears the fibres and dulls the finish faster than wearing the suit does. Between cleans, a steam press and a stiff brush will keep it sharp for a fraction of the cost.

Hang it on a broad wooden hanger rather than wire, which cuts into the shoulder padding. Give it a day off between wears so the wool can recover its shape. And always clean it before it goes away for the season — moths go for the perspiration in the fibres, not the fabric.

Our 6-Stage Suit Cleaning Process

  • Inspection and taggingEach piece is tagged, and the lining, buttons and shoulder padding are checked for damage before cleaning. Why it matters: a loose lining will tear in the machine if it is not secured first.
  • Spotting by handCollar, cuff and underarm marks are treated individually before the garment goes in.Why it matters: these are oil-based and a general clean will not touch them.
  • Solvent matched to clothWool, blends, linen and synthetics are cleaned on settings suited to each. Why it matters: the wrong solvent is what puts a permanent shine on lapels and seat.
  • Shaped pressingShoulders, lapels and sleeve heads are pressed over forms rather than flat. Why it matters: flat pressing crushes the roll of the lapel and flattens the chest.
  • Finishing checkButtons tightened, threads trimmed, and the whole suit checked under light. Why it matters: a missed thread or loose button undoes an otherwise perfect clean.
  • Covered and returnedHung, covered and delivered to your door as a complete set.Why it matters: a suit folded into a bag arrives needing pressing all over again.

Coat & Suit Dry Cleaning FAQs

Common questions about suit and coat dry cleaning in Delhi. Call or WhatsApp +91 9355 774 775 if yours is not answered here.

How much does it cost to dry clean a suit in Delhi?

A two-piece suit is ₹335 and a three-piece ₹440 at our Laxmi Nagar outlet. A coat or blazer alone is ₹225. Rates vary slightly by outlet.

How often should a suit be dry cleaned?

Two or three times a season for regular wear. Cleaning more often than that wears the cloth without making the suit look better — a press between cleans does more.

Can I just get it pressed instead?

Yes, and it is far cheaper. A two-piece suit press is ₹110 against ₹335 for a full clean. If the suit is not soiled, a press is usually all it needs.

How long does it take?

72 hours as standard. Express is twice the price and always confirmed with you first — drop off by 4 pm for same-day, after 4 pm for next-day.

Will dry cleaning make my lapels shiny?

Not if the solvent and press are matched to the cloth. Shine comes from over-pressing with too much heat on a synthetic blend, which is why we press on shaped forms rather than flat.

Do you clean the jacket and trousers together?

Always, unless you ask otherwise. Cleaning one without the other makes them drift apart in shade over time.
