A domestic iron presses with dry heat and direct pressure. That is what causes the two problems everyone recognises: a shiny patch across the shoulders or seat of dark trousers, and a permanent crease ironed into the wrong place.
Steam pressing works differently. Pressurised steam relaxes the fibres first, so the fabric releases its wrinkles and is then set flat with a Teflon-coated press that does not scorch or glaze the surface. The result is shine-free, and it lasts longer — a steam-pressed shirt still looks crisp at the end of a Delhi workday.
It is also gentler over the life of a garment. Dry heat gradually weakens fibres and dulls colour, particularly on synthetics and blends. Steam does the work at a lower surface temperature.
Each garment is pressed by hand, one at a time, with proper attention to collars, cuffs, plackets and pleats — then checked before it is packed. Anything that falls short goes back through the press rather than out for delivery.

Will pressing leave shiny marks on dark clothes?
No. We use a Teflon-coated steam press rather than a dry iron, which is what causes glazing on dark trousers and lapels.
Do you iron sarees and lehengas?
Yes, including pleated and embroidered pieces. They are pressed around the embroidery rather than over it, and returned on hangers.
Is ironing included if I send clothes for washing?
Premium Laundry includes a steam-iron finish. Laundry by Kg is washed, dried and folded — add steam ironing if you want it pressed too.
