Blanket, Quilt & Razai Cleaning in Delhi

Blanket, Quilt & Razai Cleaning

Blankets, quilts and razais collect dust, mites and body oils across a whole season, and they are far too bulky for a home machine to wash or dry properly. ClanClean cleans them at commercial scale and returns them fresh, dried right through and ready to use or store.

Free doorstep pickup and delivery on orders over ₹500 across East and South Delhi — bulky items are collected from your door, so there is nothing to carry.

Why Choose Clan Clean for Blankets & Quilts?

  • Dried all the way through. Bulky items are dried to the core, not just on the surface. Surface drying is exactly why a blanket smells musty again a few days after cleaning.
  • Process matched to the filling. Cotton, polyester and wool fillings behave differently when wet — matching the method stops the filling clumping or shifting to one end.
  • Checked before we start. Filling, stitching and seams are inspected, and we tell you if something needs special handling before cleaning rather than after.
  • Collected from your door. A double quilt is awkward to carry across Delhi. It does not need to be.
  • Returned ready to store. Folded and wrapped so it can go straight into the cupboard.

Care That Extends the Life of Your Bedding

Clean everything once at the end of winter, before it goes into storage for the year. Dust mites and body oils build up steadily through the season, and putting a blanket away unwashed sets those stains permanently and gives moths a reason to find it.

Store in breathable cotton bags rather than sealed plastic — plastic traps residual moisture and encourages mould in Delhi humidity. Air a quilt in sunlight for a few hours before storing, and again before first use next winter.

Our 5-Stage Blanket & Quilt Cleaning Process

  • InspectionFilling type, stitching and seams are checked, and any weak points flagged to you before cleaning starts. Why it matters: a split seam becomes a burst quilt once it is wet and heavy.
  • Pre-treatmentStains and heavily soiled areas are treated by hand first. Why it matters: a bulky item cannot be agitated hard enough for a general wash to lift set-in marks.
  • Deep cleanCleaned at commercial scale with the cycle matched to the filling. Why it matters: a home machine cannot hold a double quilt loosely enough to actually clean it.
  • Full dryDried right through to the core, then checked for any remaining damp. Why it matters: damp filling is what causes the musty smell and, left long enough, mould inside the quilt.
  • Fold and packFolded, wrapped and returned to your door ready for the cupboard. Why it matters: bedding put away unwrapped picks up dust before you next use it.

Blanket & Quilt Cleaning FAQs

Common questions about blanket, quilt and razai cleaning in Delhi. Call or WhatsApp +91 9821 189 185 if yours is not answered here.

How much does it cost to clean a blanket in Delhi?

A single blanket is ₹275 and a double ₹350 at our Laxmi Nagar outlet. A double quilt is ₹475. Rates vary slightly by outlet.

How often should blankets and quilts be cleaned?

Once a year is enough for most homes — at the end of winter, before storage. Clean sooner if there has been illness in the house or a spill.

Can I wash a quilt at home instead?

You can wash it, but most home machines cannot dry it. A quilt that is dry on the outside and damp in the filling develops a musty smell within days and mould within weeks.

Will the filling clump or shift?

Not if the cycle is matched to the filling and the item is dried properly. Clumping is almost always caused by the wrong wash or incomplete drying.

Do you collect bulky items from home?

Yes. Free pickup and delivery on orders over ₹500 across East and South Delhi. Nothing needs carrying.

How long does it take?

Bulky bedding needs longer than garments because of the drying stage. Turnaround is confirmed with you at pickup.

What does blanket dry cleaning cost across Delhi?

A single blanket is ₹250–₹450 and a double ₹350–₹600 across Delhi. Our Delhi laundry and dry cleaning cost guide lists every ClanClean blanket, quilt and duvet rate alongside those ranges.

How do I get blankets and quilts ready for winter?

Air everything in the sun first, then send only what smells musty, is stained or was stored unwashed. Our guide to getting bedding and woollens ready for Delhi winter has the four-week plan, storage tips for the monsoon months and what a full household set costs. If the quilts are coming out for Diwali guests, our Diwali cleaning checklist has the dates.

How should summer dohars and cotton bedsheets be stored for winter?

Washed and fully dried, then folded into cotton storage bags on a lined shelf, not plastic. Cotton sheets are one of the few things that can go into a vacuum bag without harm; dohars with any silk or embroidery should not. A bedsheet is ₹150 single and ₹200 double to dry clean at our Laxmi Nagar outlet, or send them by the kilo. Our seasonal storage guide has the full September changeover checklist.

Should I send curtains with my winter bedding?

Most households do. Curtains and quilts both need one full clean a year, the end of winter is the right time for both, and one combined order clears the free pickup threshold easily. Our curtain cleaning guide explains which curtains need dry cleaning and how often they need it in Delhi.

Where can I get blanket dry cleaning near me?

ClanClean collects blankets, quilts and razais from your door anywhere we cover in East and South Delhi, so there is nothing to carry. Our outlets are in Laxmi Nagar, Malviya Nagar and Sarvapriya Vihar, with Vasant Kunj opening in October 2026. Pickup slots run 10 am to 9 pm, seven days a week, and pickup and delivery are free on orders over ₹500, which two blankets together already clear.
